The Paradise crosses Rs 138 crore globally despite mixed reviews

Nani's The Paradise has collected Rs 138.25 crore worldwide in its opening weekend, with a four-day India net of Rs 92.10 crore. The Telugu version drove most earnings, contributing Rs 13.60 crore on Sunday alone across 3,560 shows, while the Hindi version earned Rs 1.90 crore from 2,803 shows. The film opened to a career-best Rs 46.25 crore for Nani, including premieres, but saw a dip on Friday before steadying over the weekend.

Several outlets report that the film received mostly negative reviews and faced social media trolling, with critics citing weak writing and excessive violence. A Nizam distributor told 123telugu that theatres in Telangana ran at 100 per cent occupancy with sold-out screens and audience celebrations. Nani acknowledged both the love and the criticism in a social media post, saying he learned from the flaws pointed out. The film's weekday performance from Monday will indicate whether its strong start can be sustained.
