Two dead, four critical in Rajouri vehicle accident

An Eco vehicle carrying six people skidded off the road and fell into a ditch at Kandi Morha in the Kotranka area of Rajouri district on Sunday, police said. The injured were taken to Government Medical College, Rajouri. Greater Kashmir reports in two versions that two of the injured later died, while a separate account says all six were alive but four were in critical condition. The victims are from Rehan village in Kotranka tehsil.

The critically injured have been identified as Mohd Azam (60), Ibrar Ahmed (35), Imtiaz Ahmed (18), and Shamim Akhter (22). The other two, Mohd Shakeel (22) and Khadam Hussain, are stable. Police have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the accident.
