Two arrested for stabbing man, robbing him in northeast Delhi

Two men have been arrested for allegedly stabbing a 32-year-old man with a surgical blade and robbing him in Sonia Vihar, northeast Delhi. The incident occurred around 12.18 am on Wednesday, according to police. The victim, Pramod Yadav, who works at a jewellery shop in Chandni Chowk, was returning home when he was approached by the two men on a service road. He was admitted to an ICU and underwent surgery after being shifted to a private hospital.

The suspects, identified as Mubbashir (21) and Salman (21), were arrested on Friday near Chauhan Patti. Police recovered the stolen mobile phone from them. The stolen gold chain, weighing around 24 grams, was pawned at a non-banking financial company. Police recovered Rs 1 lakh received against the chain and the chain itself from the company, along with loan documents. The Hindustan Times reports that Salman was previously involved in another case of attempted murder.
