Yash defends Toxic intimate scenes, revisits Rashmika Mandanna ‘Mr Showoff’ remark

Yash has addressed the buzz and criticism surrounding intimate scenes in his upcoming film Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups, saying he has not even kissed on screen. In an interview on Aap Ki Adalat with Rajat Sharma, Yash said vulgarity is wrong and the visual treatment determines how audiences perceive such sequences. He acknowledged that his wife, actress Radhika Pandit, might feel uncomfortable watching those scenes but trusts him completely, as she understands it is a craft and an art.

Yash also revisited the 2017 controversy where Rashmika Mandanna called him 'Mr Showoff' during a television rapid-fire segment. He said he does not know in what sense she spoke and that she was new, calling such shows 'bakwaas'. 'Somebody's opinion will not be my personality. I am who I am,' he said. He added that disrespecting another actor is not a sign of being his fan. Rashmika had earlier clarified her comment was taken out of context.

Toxic, directed by Geetu Mohandas, features a female-led ensemble including Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth. Yash plays a dual role as a gangster. The film marks his return after KGF: Chapter 2 and is preparing for theatrical release.
