Yash’s father drove bus despite son’s stardom, valued own identity

Rocking Star Yash revealed on Rajat Sharma's show Aap Ki Aadalat that his father continued working as a bus driver even after Yash achieved fame and financial success. Yash initially struggled to understand why his father would not quit, but his father told him, "You do your job, I will do mine."

Yash arranged a car for his father, but he found it boring and preferred the respect he earned from his own work over being treated as 'Yash's father'. He would arrive at the depot in an imported car and then drive the bus. Yash's father said, "All this is superficial respect… the respect my colleagues give me for my own work, that is truly mine."

Yash also recalled feeling insecure in college when he travelled on his father's scooter and hauled goods for his small provision store. He said he soon realised that respect comes from character and hard work, not possessions. Yash is now preparing for the film 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups' and will play Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana'.
