29 best teachers from Andhra Pradesh to train in Finland

The Andhra Pradesh government will send 29 recipients of the State Best Teacher Award to Finland for an international professional development programme, Partnered with the University of Turku, the initiative aims to expose educators to global teaching methods and innovative approaches in school education.

During the programme, the teachers will visit Turku and Rauma for classroom observations, site visits, and interactions at Early Childhood Education Centres and Teacher Training Schools. The training will cover foundational learning, digital tools, leadership, and student well-being. After returning, each teacher will develop school-based projects to implement in their own schools and will serve as mentors for other teachers at district and mandal levels.

Human Resource Minister Nara Lokesh said teachers play a crucial role in shaping the state's future and stressed the need for international exposure to bring new ideas to government schools. The government will also conduct impact assessments to measure improvements in student engagement, learning outcomes, and well-being, according to the official release.
