The government has repeatedly offered a full discussion on the issue, yet disruptions have stalled proceedings for 16 consecutive days, with nine bills passed without debate amid Opposition sloganeering. Rijiju emphasised that the Opposition must assure it will listen and not walk out, framing this as a test of their commitment to democratic discourse. However, the ongoing logjam, including the stormy passage of the National Tribunal Commission Bill, raises questions about whether this offer is a genuine step toward accountability or a tactical move to deflect criticism of the police action against students.
