Gurugram civic body floats Rs 99 lakh tender for CCTV, PA system on Sector 46 road

The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) has floated a tender worth Rs 99.1 lakh for installing CCTV cameras and a public address system on Sector 46 main road and its adjoining market, as part of its Smart Roads project, officials said on Saturday. The tender, published on Friday, invites bids for supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the equipment on the newly proposed stretch. MCG Executive Engineer Sachin Yadav said it is a pilot project and the cameras will be mounted on smart street light poles.

The Smart Roads project aims to upgrade road infrastructure, pedestrian and cycling facilities, drainage, lighting, streetscaping and traffic management to improve safety and ease congestion. MCG handles roads under its jurisdiction, while the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) manages stretches under its charge. A similar tender for Palam Vihar was earlier withdrawn due to a lack of bidders. MCG’s model-road programme, which picked up pace in 2026, plans to develop 124.42 km of roads; work has started on 20.6 km, and nearly 70% of projects are still at the planning stage.
