ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವು ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಎನ್ಆರ್ಐ ಕೋಟಾ ಸೀಟುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷ 57 ರಿಂದ ಈ ವರ್ಷ 105 ಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿದೆ. ಈ ಕೋಟಾ ಮೈಸೂರು ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಮತ್ತು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಇನ್ಸ್ಟಿಟ್ಯೂಟ್ ಆಫ್ ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ಸೈನ್ಸಸ್, ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ 14 ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಲಭ್ಯವಿದೆ. ಇದು ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಸೀಟುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 15 ಶೇಕಡಾಕ್ಕೆ ಅನ್ವಯಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
