Over 500 screened at free medical camp in UP’s Barabanki

More than 500 patients received free medical consultations at a camp organised by the Rajesh Singh Dayal Foundation in Mamarkhapur village, Barabanki district, on Saturday. The camp was part of the foundation's 'Freedom from Disease' initiative on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day. Specialist doctors in general medicine, gynaecology and paediatrics examined patients and provided free medicines and health kits.

Foundation founder Rajesh Singh Dayal, known as the 'Medicine Man of UP', attended the camp. The foundation has extended mobile healthcare to remote villages along the Uttar Pradesh-Bihar border, including Deoria, Ballia and Gorakhpur. It says more than three lakh people have received free consultations and diagnostics, and over 5,000 elderly people have undergone free cataract surgeries. The foundation has also laid the foundation for a Dayal Hospital and an Ayurveda hospital under its 'Illness to Wellness' initiative.
