Railways approves seven new Amrit Bharat Express trains

The Railway Board has approved seven new Amrit Bharat Express trains to improve long-distance connectivity across the country, according to indiatvnews.com. The trains are designed to offer affordable premium travel for passengers. Business Today reports that the new services will connect major cities in northern, central, western and southern India.

The approved routes include Dhanbad-Coimbatore, Charlapalli-Gorakhpur, Gorakhpur-Bandra, Gorakhpur-Delhi, Subedarganj-Lokmanya Tilak, Prayagraj-Udhna and Prayagraj-Lokmanya Tilak. Each train will run as a weekly service with specific departure days. The Dhanbad-Coimbatore train will leave Dhanbad on Saturdays, while the Charlapalli-Gorakhpur service will run on Fridays.

The Gorakhpur-Bandra train will depart Gorakhpur every Friday, and the Gorakhpur-Delhi service will operate on Thursdays and Fridays. The Subedarganj-Mumbai train will run once a week. Both Prayagraj services will operate on Fridays, with return journeys on Saturdays. The railways has not yet announced the launch date.
