Rohit Ramesh says students are architects of India’s future

Rohit Ramesh, Director of The Hindu Group, told students at VIT in Vellore on Saturday that they are the architects of India's future. In his inaugural address at the university's 80th Independence Day celebrations, he said students should look forward to the next 80 years with purpose. He urged them to dream big and work hard, as the country's future remains in their hands. He also stressed remembering the sacrifices of freedom fighters, saying, "We are the inheritors of a legacy of courage, resilience, and unity in diversity."

Earlier, Mr. Ramesh hoisted the flag in the presence of VIT vice-presidents Sankar Viswanathan and Sekar Viswanathan, faculty, students, and parents. The celebrations included an NCC parade, a rendition of Vande Mataram, the distribution of Honesty Awards, a dog show featuring Ruby and Rita, and a vibrant university team rally.
