Speeding vehicle kills constable’s husband and daughter in Nalanda

The husband of a police constable and their three-year-old daughter were killed when a speeding vehicle hit their motorcycle in Noorsarai police station area of Nalanda district on Saturday night. The eight-year-old son was injured in the accident.

According to the deceased's elder brother Bablu Ram, Kamlesh was travelling from Meyar village in Nalanda to Tarauna village in Patna with daughter Divanshi (3) and son Rishav Raj (8) to meet his wife, constable Rinku Kumari. Near Pariyona village, an unidentified speeding vehicle rammed into their bike from the front, completely destroying it. Kamlesh and Divanshi died on the spot, while Rishav was admitted to Biharsharif Model Hospital.

Noorsarai SHO Arvind Kumar said police reached the spot and took all of them to hospital, where doctors declared the father and daughter dead. The injured son is undergoing treatment. After post-mortem, the bodies were handed over to the family. A search is on for the accused driver.
