Sweden and Norway celebrate Nordic-India ties with monsoon music

Swedish Ambassador Jan Thesleff and Norwegian Ambassador May-Elin Stener co-hosted Nordic Music in the Monsoon in New Delhi, blending Hindustani classical vocals with Swedish guitar and Indian tabla. Thesleff said the series celebrates the cultural commonality of the five Nordic countries and noted that Sweden-India relations have flourished during his four-year tenure. Stener called the evening a last chance to co-host with Thesleff, who leaves in August. The event follows the third Indo-Nordic Summit held recently in Oslo, which Thesleff called "Norway's year" for hosting the summit.
