Three youths drown in Krishna River in Vijayawada

Three youths drowned in the Krishna River in Vijayawada on Saturday, the police said. The victims were identified as T. Teja, 18, V. Gowtham, 17, and G. Joshua, 18.

They went for swimming near Padmavathi ghat in Vijayawada and drowned, according to locals. Police and expert swimmers retrieved the bodies and shifted them to the Government General Hospital in the city. A case has been registered, and the investigation is under way.
