UP govt rolls out Unnati for teacher training

Uttar Pradesh government has introduced UNNATI, a technology-enabled teacher training programme aimed at strengthening foundational learning in primary schools. The system is designed to ensure direct impact on classroom learning.

Under UNNATI, primary school teachers and Shiksha Mitras receive training in foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN) and effective use of NCERT textbooks. A key feature is online supervision: training sessions are monitored via video conferencing by officials, experts and departmental consultants. Every training venue is being equipped with web cameras, microphones, sound systems and high-speed internet.

Each training batch receives a dedicated online monitoring link generated by the block education officer. This allows continuous observation of activities and ensures quality standards are met, a government spokesperson said.
