19-year-old arrested after Virginia State University shooting wounds five

Chesterfield County Police arrested Camron Harris, 19, after he was found hiding in a closet at Virginia State University on Saturday. The overnight shooting near the Quad Annexes left five people wounded, one critically. Harris, from Henrico, Virginia, is not a student at the university, police said.

Four of the injured are not students, aged 17 to 23. A 20-year-old student has been discharged from hospital. Police obtained eight felony warrants against Harris, including malicious wounding and use of a firearm. No motive has been given. The campus lockdown was lifted.

In a separate incident reported by National Herald India, a shooting at Charles Young Park in Lexington, Kentucky, on Saturday evening left one person dead and four injured, including a 4-year-old child. Police have not named a suspect.
