Myles Murphy carted off practice due to cramps, expects return

Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Myles Murphy was briefly carted off during Saturday practice after suffering muscle cramps in the heat. NFL insider Paul Dehner Jr. posted a video on X showing Murphy seated on a cart heading to the locker room.

Murphy later confirmed he needed an IV for cramping and said he expects to be back on the field on Sunday. The 24-year-old, a 2023 first-round pick, is entering the final year of his rookie contract after the Bengals declined his fifth-year option.

The team's next preseason game is against the Chicago Bears on August 22. Murphy is expected to be available for that matchup.
