Samantha Ruth Prabhu to host Celebrity MasterChef Tamil

Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who is expecting her first child with filmmaker husband Raj Nidimoru, will headline the new cooking reality show Celebrity MasterChef Tamil. The series, backed by Banijay Asia, adapts the global MasterChef format with a Tamil twist and will feature popular Kollywood celebrities competing in the kitchen.

The actress said the show was unlike anything she had done before. "Food has a wonderful way of bringing people together, creating memories, and revealing a side of you that the cameras don't usually get to see," she said. She added that she was excited to watch celebrities take risks and compete with passion.

Celebrity MasterChef Tamil is expected to premiere soon on Sony VIZHA and Sony LIV, with additional content across digital and social platforms. Samantha, who recently confirmed her pregnancy at the success meet of her film Maa Inti Bangaaram, plans to take maternity leave after her current commitments before returning to acting.
