Suriya and Mamitha Baiju's Vishwanath and Sons earned Rs 22.25 crore net in India on its second day, a 45% jump over its opening day, reports the Times of India. The film's worldwide gross has reached Rs 74.47 crore after two days. Its Telugu version outperformed the Tamil version in occupancy, recording 64% against 56%. In North America, the film crossed $1 million by Saturday evening, with the Telugu version driving collections, according to m9.news. The North America breakeven is $1.9 million.

Thalapathy Vijay's Jana Nayagan collected Rs 86 lakh net in India on day 24, taking its total India net to Rs 196.15 crore, the Times of India reports. Its worldwide gross stands at Rs 320.84 crore, but the film appears to be nearing the end of its theatrical run. Meanwhile, Vishal's directorial debut Magudam earned Rs 70 lakh net on day 2, up from Rs 60 lakh on day one.
