अंतरराष्ट्रीय सिंचाई एवं जल निकासी आयोग (ICID) ने झांसी के पारीछा वियर को विश्व धरोहर सिंचाई संरचना के रूप में चुना है। 1881 में बेतवा नदी पर लगभग 40 लाख रुपये की लागत से बना यह 1,174 मीटर लंबा वियर आज भी पांच जिलों में 4.28 लाख हेक्टेयर से अधिक भूमि की सिंचाई करता है।
