গ্রামোন্নয়ন মন্ত্রী এন. আনন্দ চেঙ্গলপট্টু জেলার পুথুর হ্রদের ইনলেট চ্যানেল প্রশস্ত করার কাজ উদ্বোধন করেছেন। বিকশিত ভারত গ্যারান্টি ফর রোজগার অ্যান্ড আজীবিকা মিশনের অধীনে প্রায় 10,185 জলপথ এবং 809 হ্রদ উত্তরপূর্ব মৌসুমী বায়ুর আগে 500 কোটি টাকা ব্যয়ে খনন করা হবে। চেঙ্গলপট্টুতে 52টি নতুন পুকুর এবং 447টি জলপথ নির্মাণ করা হবে।
